Switching from another fund? Let us do the paperwork for you.
If you're currently insured by another Australian health fund, we’ll help take the stress out of switching. We'll automatically recognise your previous length of hospital coverage with your current fund, and if you're transferring to an equivalent or lower level of cover, you won't have to re-serve waiting periods either. If you're transferring to a higher level of cover, you will need to serve waiting periods for those services not included in your previous level of cover
To authorise us to arrange the transfer on your behalf, simply check the box during the online application process, and enter the name of your previous health fund and your membership number. Alternatively, if you're joining over the phone, you can instruct your Sales Consultant to complete the authorisation details for you.
Once we have your authorisation, we'll then contact your previous fund and request that they send us what's known as a 'Clearance Certificate'. The certificate provides HIF with all the details we need in order to finalise your new policy with us, including your length of membership with your old fund, any waiting periods that may still be outstanding, plus any Lifetime Health Cover loading that may apply.

The promoter is Health Insurance Fund of Australia Limited ACN 128 302 161 of 100 Stirling Street, Perth, Western Australia 6000 (HIF).
Eligibility
1. This offer starts on Monday 27 November 2023 at 12:01am and closes on Sunday 30 June 2024 at 11.59pm (WST) (Offer Period)
2. Your policy start date must start no later than Offer Period.
3. This offer is only available to a Perth Wildcats member who purchases an Eligible Product and opts to pay by Direct Debit for fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or annual payment frequencies (Eligible Member).
4. This offer is available during the Offer Period to Eligible Members by:
i. using the access code PWCM through the HIF website at hif.com.au at the time of joining; or
ii. by calling 1300 134 060 and mentioning this offer at the time of joining.
5. This offer is only available for the following Hospital and Extras covers:
i. Hospital: Basic Plus, Bronze, Bronze Plus, Silver, Silver Plus, Gold Top; and

6. This offer is not available to:
i. existing members who take out
- Combined Hospital and Extras, or
- Hospital only, or
- Extras only; or
ii. members who take out Overseas Visitors cover; or
iii. existing members who cease their Perth Wildcats membership; or
iv. members who join by broker, intermediary or corporate partner; or
v. HIF directors, employees or contractors.
