For nutrition's sake, don’t skip breakfast. Did you know that if you regularly bypass breakfast, you could be causing yourself to suffer later in the day as a result?
 
According to HIF blogger Susie Burrell: “Failing to optimally fuel your body first thing in the morning can leave you more prone to fatigue, low concentration and may even make it more difficult for you to lose body fat”. That’s why she’s provided us with this delicious AND nutritious ‘Breakfast Smoothie’ recipe - so now there’s no excuse. :)
 
This quick n' easy brekky in a glass smashes together juicy berries (and/or bananas), chia seeds, fresh low fat milk, Greek yoghurt and a ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence – yum! 

Ingredients

  • 200mls low fat milk
  • ½ cup berries OR ½ banana
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons Greek style yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients for a delicious, satisfying breakfast drink.
