Bringing a new baby into the world is a magical experience – but it can also be overwhelming.

To support members on their parenthood journey, we’ve partnered with Nourish Baby, Australia’s only accredited provider of online antenatal and early parenting education and support.

Established in 2012, Nourish Baby helps parents enjoy a healthy pregnancy, positive labour and birth and early parenting success.

If you hold a HIF Domestic Hospital product that includes pregnancy and birth cover, you will be eligible to receive immediate access to Nourish Baby’s online learning hub. Following the birth of your baby, you’ll also have access to a series of personalised sleep and settling telehealth sessions delivered by qualified early parenting consultants.

Build confidence and knowledge

Babies communicate through their behaviour but it can be challenging to recognise and interpret those behaviours, particularly in the early days and weeks after birth. As much as we want to understand what our babies are telling us, there are certainly times when we can feel at a real loss.

Sleep Eazzzy Baby with HIF has been designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need to gain confidence in your parenting and feel good about the decisions you make for you, your baby and your family.

The education provided in the Nourish Baby online learning hub and support and advice delivered during the sleep and settling telephone calls, is delivered by qualified obstetricians, midwives and child health professionals who are passionate about supporting you and your family through pregnancy, birth and the first three years of your child's life.

Evidence-based education and support

Nourish Baby is the only online antenatal classes and personalised sleep and settling support accredited by the Childbirth and Parenting Educators of Australia and the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards. This endorsement means you can feel confident you are receiving current and evidence-based education and advice when it comes to looking after your baby’s health and giving them the best start in life.

The Sleep Eazzzy Baby with HIF includes:

Access to a suite of interactive and engaging courses through the Nourish Baby online learning hub to support you during every stage of your pregnancy and early parenting journey. Modules include pregnancy health, childbirth education, newborn feeding and sleeping guides, first-aid and baby and toddler growth and development.
A series of personalised sleep and settling telehealth sessions following the birth of your baby, delivered by qualified early parenting consultants experienced in infant and toddler sleep. Support is underpinned by research and an understanding that every infant, toddler and parent is unique. The sessions are designed to help new parents develop confidence in their parenting skills.
Emotional health screening in partnership with iCOPE, Australia’s peak body in perinatal mental health. Expectant mothers will receive access to a confidential self-check screen to identify if you may be at risk of developing a mental health condition or if you are experiencing symptoms for anxiety or depression during the perinatal period. The screening is anonymous and purely for your own benefit. You can receive an instant report on completion via email or SMS and importantly, will receive advice on where and how to find the right help.

Who is eligible?

If you hold a HIF Domestic Hospital product that includes pregnancy and birth cover, you will be eligible to receive access to Nourish Baby’s online learning hub and sleep and settling support from qualified early parenting consultants.
