Which HIF Extras policies include healthy lifestyle services?

Healthy Lifestyle Cover benefits are included in most of our Extras cover options, giving members access to lifestyle insurance that supports prevention as much as cure. The only difference is that the benefits and annual limits you can claim depend on your level of cover. These lifestyle extras are part of our broader life and health insurance approach, supporting members in maintaining a consistent healthy lifestyle.

Our 'Healthy Lifestyle Benefits' category provides a set amount each year to use on various healthy lifestyle programs, memberships, or assessments.. Essentially, you can claim a healthy lifestyle insurance benefit to help you maintain a healthy life. – and it's entirely up to you how you choose to spend your healthy lifestyle program benefit.

Gym bunnies, rejoice!

You can claim a Healthy Lifestyle Benefit on your gym membership as long as your gym is approved by HIF and you provide evidence that the membership forms part of a personal health management plan. To do so, please ask your professional healthcare professional (GP or Specialist) to complete our Health Management Form and return a copy to us along with your gym membership invoice and a completed HIF Extras Claim Form. This benefit is part of our healthy lifestyle cover, supporting your healthy life goals. This benefit is included in our Healthy Lifestyle Cover, part of HIF’s broader life and health insurance approach, designed to support your healthy lifestyle goals through approved fitness and wellness programs.

Manage your weight, your way.

You can use your Healthy Lifestyle Benefit as part of your Healthy Lifestyle Cover towards approved weight management programs that support your long-term health goals. To lodge a claim, simply ask your (GP or Specialist) to complete our Health Management Form, then return a copy to us along with your relevant invoice(s) and a completed HIF Extras Claim Form.

Skin cancer screening and prevention

Slip, slop, slap... skin cancer screening. Benefits are not payable from HIF for skin checks where Medicare pays a benefit. An itemised invoice with the patient’s name must be given by the provider. Please contact us to find out if your screening provider is eligible for benefits. Please contact us to confirm if your screening provider is eligible for benefits under our healthy lifestyle program.
