If you hold an eligible Extras policy then you will be eligible to claim a benefit for a "Diabetes Education" consultation or information session held by a credited Diabetes Educator with Diabetes Australia. Benefit amounts and policy limits can be found on our Extras Comparison Table.
Essentially, this is a benefit for a charge raised by Diabetes Australia when a person attends a consultation or information session in relation to diabetes.
Please note:
- This does not mean that you need to be a diabetic. A diabetes consultation can relate to information you should be aware of because a friend or family member has diabetes.
This benefit does not cover a membership to the Diabetes Association.
A doctor’s referral is not required.
