Absolutely! If you're admitted, treated and discharged on the same day, HIF will classify this as "Day Surgery" or a "Day facility" and a benefit can be claimed.
To obtain a medical estimate in advance, please ask your doctor or specialist to provide you with a list of the items you'll be billed for (including fees for each item), then complete our online Hospital & Medical Estimate Request Form.
Alternatively, you are welcome to call us on 1300 13 40 60 and we can provide a benefit estimate over the phone.
