The Perth Wildcats are pleased to announce a partnership with HIF – the Health Insurance Fund of Australia, who have joined the team as a diamond partner for at least the next two seasons.
The new partnership will see the HIF logo feature prominently on the back of the Wildcats’ playing singlet in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 NBL seasons.
The club is thrilled with the alignment as they continue to encourage West Australians into making healthy lifestyle choices, like those supported by HIF.
“As a club we have walked away from junk food and alcohol sponsorship so it is terrific to have HIF on board with us to help promote healthy living and to have those shared values,” said Wildcats managing director Nick Marvin.
“We aim to not only inspire and entertain, but to also leave a legacy in the West Australian community and the ability to promote healthy living through this partnership makes it a great fit.”
Founded in Perth back in 1954, HIF is a truly West Australian organisation, and like the Wildcats, they put their members first. HIF managing director Graeme Gibson said HIF is excited to be on the Perth Wildcats team.
“We are confident that this sponsorship will help encourage our members to live more healthy and active lives and make better choices about their health,” he said.
“HIF have strong growth in the younger demographic and so this is a good alignment for us. The vast majority of our new members are under 35 and we’re looking to use this sponsorship to further build on that. Our goal is to develop a long-lasting relationship with the Wildcats and leverage off that.”
The Perth Wildcats will unveil their 2013/14 playing jersey, featuring the HIF logo, at the club’s season launch on Friday 4 October at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
