We are delighted to announce that from January 2013, health and wellbeing expert Susie Burrell will join our Healthy Advice Blog to provide weekly articles crammed full of nutritional advice, recipes, exercise information and more.  Check back to our website in January to learn more about Susie and read her first article for HIF.

In the meantime, here's Susie's top tip for staying healthy during the festive season...

"With the party season in full swing, you may be finding it difficult to fit in the exercise sessions you need to in order to get your weight under control.

Rather than hoping to find a spare 30 minutes to fit in your training over the next couple of weeks, simply set your alarm 30 minutes earlier each morning to fit in a quick walk, jog or exercise video.

In just 20-30 minutes you can easily burn an extra 200-300 calories and exercising first thing in the morning is also a great way to give your body a metabolic kick start each day."

Susie Burrell is one of Australia's leading nutritionists with regular appearances on Sunrise and Today Tonight. She loves writing about diet and nutrition and has already published two books, with a third currently on the way.

Susie's work has also been featured in The Australian Women's Weekly, Bicycling Australia, Women's Fitness, Men's Fitness, That's Life and Woman's Day to name just a few.
