Committed to supporting our community through ongoing diversity and inclusion initiatives, HIF has today launched a new accessibility widget to enhance our online experience.

The accessibility tool allows members to customise their experience through new several features.

Members can now:

  • Change the font size of content to suit their reading needs, with the option to increase or decrease its size.
  • A text to voice service that reads the website content aloud (designed especially for vision impaired)
  • Colour and tone adjustments that can help members read content through their preferred colour settings such as monotone, sepia and more.

HIF CEO, Justin James said that the website’s new accessibility widget is just one of the many ways HIF is enhancing its offering to support its members.

“This new feature extends from our brand promise of providing members with providing more choice and access. Using this new tool, we hope that existing and new members can choose the online experience that’s right for them and experience the best of HIF online,” James said.

All users can activate the new accessibility feature by clicking the  widget, located at the left hand side of the screen when on the HIF website. From there, you’ll be prompted to use the tools and create the experience that works best for you.

HIF is also evaluating new ways to improve the accessibility of member communications and PDF documents. Stay tuned for more updates on accessibility features here and, in the meantime, happy browsing!
